Momos Cushion Anthracite 48X30

This cushion belongs to our Momos collection, a design by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales inspired by traditional textiles discovered on a trip to the state of Maranhão, in northern Brazil. The curious aesthetics of that textile art, reminiscent of butterfly eggs, led him to explore how to reinterpret it through the embroidery expertise of the artisans from the GAN Women Unit, our social mission in India. Momos, therefore, is a collection whose inspiration comes from Brazil, its design from Spain, and its execution in India. At GAN, we are always surprised by the possibilities offered by the contemporary reinterpretation of craftsmanship from different parts of the world. In this case, the first step was for our artisans to understand the original fabric so they could later execute the reinterpretation designed by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales. Their experience and skill in embroidery allow them to execute the design with great precision, achieving a light fabric, delicate in appearance, yet robust enough to adapt to the different elements of the Momos collection. A unique three-dimensional fabric, with a texture that offers an exceptional sensory experience, both visually and tactilely. It is a cushion that we also have available in camel color. Momos, a collection of GAN Spaces GAN Spaces are collections meticulously constructed from innovative concepts and artisanal production methods, such as the Embroidery of Momos technique. Suggestive proposals that, starting from a rug, are capable of structuring an entire family of modules and accessories with which to design an environment. A set of interconnected designs, conceived to project stimulating contemporary-style atmospheres, with an open, flexible, and casual configuration.
