The Diamond collection features a series of rugs and cushions. Their aesthetic aims to reproduce the varying degrees of opacity and translucency found in a diamond's faceted surfaces, creating an illusory transparency effect through a carefully selected palette of colors, like the green, beige, and pink tones of this Nude-Petrol cushion. Designed by Charlotte Lancelot, the Diamond collection is crafted using the kilim technique with very light and soft fibers from recycled PET. These fibers can be easily manipulated on this type of manual loom. The rugs have an unusual octagonal shape, while the cushions are available in rectangular or square formats and can be purchased individually. This sustainable manufacturing method gives new life to plastic waste while also allowing the Diamond collection's fabrics to be used in both indoor and outdoor environments. The Diamond Nude-Petrol cushion is also available in a square format, as well as in the Pink-Yellow, Orange-Wine, Blue-Green, and Green-Grey colorways. Diamond: A Kilim Cushion from Our Collection Kilim is a traditional artisanal method of rug making that exclusively uses threads, tightly interweaving the weft on a manual loom without knotting. This process results in a lightweight fabric with a pile-less texture, similar to upholstery. Furthermore, it's a technique that offers great design flexibility, a peculiarity that we at GAN thoroughly explore to create rugs with high-impact patterns and details.
