The inspiration for Thay comes from the patterns of fabrics from Thailand, characterized by repetitive and vibrant motifs. The designer chose to apply the graphic motif asymmetrically, intentionally concentrating it on only one part of the rug. This detail breaks the rigidity of the classic rectangular format, giving the piece a "casual" and light character. The simplified design represents a modern synthesis of the typical geometries found in oriental kilims, stripped of excessive decoration to make room for a clean and essential visual language.
