Clearly inspired by the world of surfing and the elegant silhouettes of surfboards, this line of rugs breaks away from traditional rectangular formats to introduce elliptical and fluid geometries, capable of infusing a unique sense of dynamism into any interior environment.

Alejandra Gandía-Blasco conceived the Surf rugs as graphic elements that float on the floor. The elliptical format recalls the surfboard, an object symbolizing balance and connection with nature. Thanks to their original shape, these rugs offer multiple possibilities for use, as they can be arranged individually to define a specific area or in groups to create scenographic and personalized compositions, almost like a series of boards ready to ride the wave of contemporary design.

Materials and Production Technique

The artisanal quality of Surf is expressed through the use of 100% virgin wool, a natural material chosen for its softness to the touch and its exceptional durability. Each piece is crafted using the hand-tufted technique, a manual process in which wool is inserted into a fabric base stretched on a frame using a semi-automatic gun. This process allows for different pile heights and a density of 46,500 tufts/m², ensuring plush comfort and optimal durability over time. The rug is finished with a cotton back that ensures stability on the floor.

Variants, Colors, and Dimensions

The collection is divided into models that evoke different atmospheres through their names and color palettes. The main variants include:

• Surf Race: available in shades such as Índico Blue, Mediterráneo, and Atlántico, with dimensions of approximately 270 x 60 cm.
• Surf Malibú: a more compact and versatile version, with dimensions of approximately 150 x 55 cm.

These models play with color gradients and vibrant combinations that recall the shades of the ocean and the energy of outdoor sports, making them ideal for hallways, transit areas, or as color accents in modern living rooms and bedrooms.
